What if you kept going?

The idea began with an illustration I couldn’t forget: two people digging toward diamonds. One turns back just before reaching them. The other keeps going. What stayed with me was how little we know about the distance between effort and a breakthrough.

I wanted to turn that feeling into something physical—a pickaxe caught in the moment it breaks through the surface, revealing what had been hidden underneath. The open space around it gives that single moment room to speak.

For me, this piece is a reminder to act on an idea. To keep working through the stage where the result is still out of sight. It’s a thought I wanted to keep where I could see it.
